Web Development - Team Lead Job Description:
As a Web Development Team Lead, you will guide and manage a team of web developers. You'll be instrumental in driving projects from initial concept through to successful deployment, following best practices, and providing mentorship to your team.
Success in this role hinges on your ability to foster collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders, maintain meticulous attention to detail, and organize workflows effectively.
Currently, the team focuses on developing client websites with Shopify and WordPress. There is potential to expand into building web applications using NodeJS and ReactJS in the future, contingent upon client needs and the team lead's expertise.
Web Development - Team Lead Responsibilities:
Translate client specifications into clear website requirements and define project scope.
Develop detailed project timelines and manage resource schedules using project management software (using TeamWork.com, ClickUp.com, Slack) to ensure timely delivery.
Facilitate collaborative meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to finalize website design, functionality, and technical specifications.
Monitor project progress, track tasks, and report on team performance and capacity using established project management tools.
Drive continuous improvement by researching emerging web technologies, evaluating new tools, and fostering a culture of learning within the team.
Mentor and supervise junior developers and designers, identifying growth opportunities, providing targeted coaching, and managing performance development
Web Development - Team Lead Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent experience) coupled with substantial web development expertise.
At least 3 years experience successfully leading and mentoring development teams.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Proven ability to mentor, guide, and support technical staff effectively.
Strong analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities.
In-depth knowledge of and Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce,).
Experience with NodeJS/ReactJS or similar technologies is a plus.
