Position: Junior SOC Analyst (100% WFH | Dayshift)
Location: Remote / Philippines
Work Setup: 100% Permanent Work From Home
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Dayshift
Salary: ₱60,000 – ₱70,000 per month

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior SOC Analyst to join our IT Security team. This role is focused on monitoring security systems, responding to threats, and continuously improving our cybersecurity defenses.

You’ll work closely with cross-functional IT teams to identify risks, analyze threats, and ensure the organization stays protected from emerging cyber threats.

What You’ll Do

Monitoring & Response

• Monitor and investigate alerts from various security tools (SIEM, firewalls, IDS, etc.).

• Respond quickly and effectively to potential security incidents.

• Document incidents to analyze root causes and improve future prevention strategies.

Threat Analysis

• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity risks and threat landscapes.

• Identify vulnerabilities within systems and recommend security improvements.

Security Tools Management

• Assist in managing and optimizing security tools for peak performance.

• Collaborate with other IT teams to strengthen overall security measures.

Who We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in a SOC or security monitoring role.

• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS, firewalls, and other security tools.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.

• Familiarity with security frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.

• Knowledge of various cyber threats such as DDoS, phishing, and ransomware.

• Basic scripting skills (Python, JavaScript).

• Experience with YARA detection language is a plus.

Soft Skills

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication for incident reporting.

• Ability to remain calm and efficient during high-pressure situations.
